SUPPORT YOUR LIBRARY
Support for the Library is needed in these uncertain times. Understandably, patrons are trying to be especially careful these days when it comes to protecting their financial security. It is easy to understand their feelings. Immediate gifts are always welcome as they help support our current programs and services. The Library also relies on gifts that won't arrive until many years into the future. Planned gifts from donor's estate and financial plans continue to be vital to our mission, and extremely popular with donors who prefer the flexibility of "deferred giving."
Gifts from wills, life insurance policies, trusts and other tax-wise arrangements help to preserve donors' assets and income during life and ultimately ensure that the Bridgman Library will always be there to serve the community for many years to come. A wide variety of gift techniques are available:
-
Make a bequest. Gifts by will are the oldest form of revocable gift arrangement – a time – honored way to "give something back" to the community in which you lived.
-
Earmark a financial account for the Bridgman Public Library. Generally speaking, you can leave the remaining balance of a financial account (i.e. checking and saving, brokerage) to an individual or organization without making or changing a will. Ask the manager at your financial institution about the necessary paperwork for naming the Bridgman Public Library as a death beneficiary.
-
Make the Library a life insurance beneficiary. You can leave the Bridgman Public Library part or all of the proceeds of a life insurance policy.
Your gift can be recognized publicly, unless you prefer to give anonymously. Any gift to the Bridgman Public Library, including a planned gift, can be made a a memorial to another individual. Through your bequest or other estate gift, you perpetuate the cherished memory of a loved one by enabling the Bridgman Public Library to fulfill its mission "to enrich our community with resoures that educate, inform and inspire."
Gifts and donations to the Bridgman Public Library are tax deductible.
